About the Conference Site

Boston University, College of General Studies

The College of General Studies, at 871 Commonwealth Avenue, is the home of Boston University’s team-structured core curriculum program. The building sits toward the west end of BU’s Charles River Campus, between the College of Fine Arts and the Registrar’s Office. On the other side of “Comm Ave,” are several restaurants and coffee shops, including Starbucks, Chipotle, Otto Pizza, and Life Alive (vegetarian).

BU is close to Back Bay, and a short distance from downtown and the waterfront to the east (fifteen to twenty minutes on the "T"), and Harvard and MIT to the north (about 15 minutes by cab or uber). It backs onto the Charles River and the esplanade.
